March 2024: #HighwayToMore Prep With Moe

Getting Ready to Do Cool Things and Meet New People With Moe

This time we have a little more knowledge about trauma bonding in relationships, coercive control, parasocial trauma bonding, and anxious attachments with the intent to manipulate.

We were surrounded by manipulative and coercive personalities who were eager to use and abuse us. We have learned a lot about boundaries through horses to avoid creating a 'nice' culture that disempowers and disenfranchises marginalized community members.

Patients with disabilities are frequently marginalized and we have only begun to scratch the surface in our effort to learn more about how we tend to utilize othering bias to justify working our own issues out on others while blaming them over being accountable.

We have learned to watch for anxious attachment signs with charming personalities because that has been the culture of our generational conditioning from the Silent Generation.

Several have glorified the silent generation mistaking them for Boomers. It never ceases to be fascinating how life cycles work.

In the meantime, patients with invisible wounds and disabilities need options and horses can be helpful in a society that, at large, prefers to center themselves into the stories of the patient because they have not experienced it for themselves.

We can follow the example of horses by putting our listening ears on to be the examples of what leadership can look like that is less of an image of oppression and more about power with.
